Golf can open doors when the right guidance exists. However, many young athletes never receive the support, structure, or mentorship needed to succeed. Inland Golf Academy was founded to change that through education, leadership, and personalized golf development.
Pierre Campa's journey is a testament to the mission of Inland Golf Academy. Introduced to the program at just six years old through the Tots Program, Pierre came from Haiti with a dream and an opportunity. Since then, he has grown into a remarkable student-athlete, earning four scholarships, representing Haiti in competition, and securing sponsorship opportunities throughout Latin America. His dedication on and off the course led to his acceptance into college, and he has committed to attend the University of La Verne. Pierre's success story reflects Inland Golf Academy's commitment to helping young people build brighter futures through education, mentorship, and the game of golf.
Our Story
The story behind Inland Golf Academy began long before the academy opened in 2006. Founder Greg first became curious about golf during his childhood in New Jersey. While helping his family around his mother’s farm, he noticed golf balls scattered nearby and asked where people played the sport. His mother explained that golf was expensive, which made the game seem distant and unreachable at the time.
After the loss of his father, Greg’s family moved to Compton, California. Life underwent rapid changes, limiting opportunities. Following high school, Greg searched for stable employment but faced discrimination during the hiring process. Those experiences shaped his determination and work ethic moving forward.
Years later, the rise of Tiger Woods inspired Greg to take his first golf lessons. What began as curiosity quickly became passion. He studied the game, trained consistently, and eventually became a club champion by 1999.
More importantly, golf gave him a new vision. He realized the sport could help young people develop focus, discipline, and direction. That vision eventually became Inland Golf Academy.

Since opening the academy, Greg has dedicated his work to helping young athletes build confidence while creating opportunities through golf education and mentorship.
